BBAM has established the International Business Support Center (IBSC) as a complement to the BRN to assist international bioscience companies seeking to enter the United States marketplace via Minnesota. It provides a soft landing for partner countries and companies who seek growth in the United States market.
Goal: Facilitate economic growth of the renewable energy and medical device industries in both Minnesota and Sweden based on our combined strengths in these industries.
Actual and Projected Outcomes:
1) Four contracts signed between Minnesota and Swedish companies
2) Expand Sweden's world-leading biomass combustion technology in Minnesota to help achieve the 25 x '25 goal
3) Implementation of International Renewable Energy Technology Institute-System for Technology Transfer

1) One contract signed between a Minnesota and Japanese company

3) Learn from Japan how to commercialize biologics and biopharmaceuticals
